The company reported a 45% rise in net energy output and sales at 10,625 GWh, thanks to favorable hydraulic conditions in 2023, contrasting the drought-impacted 2022. Hidroelectrica’s president, Bogdan Badea, credited these milestones to outstanding operational prowess. As of April, the company secured its position as the top electricity provider, boasting a 16.11% market share. Hidroelectrica maintains its dedication to environmental sustainability, actively venturing into renewable energy sectors. Post its 2023 public offering, the Romanian state held onto 80.06% ownership of Hidroelectrica, while legal entities and individuals possessed the rest. The company proudly debuted on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in July 2023.
