In the first half of 2023, LOT Polish Airlines was named Europe’s most punctual carrier by Cirium, a leader in aviation analytics. According to Cirium’s report, LOT achieved an on-time rate of 87.02% from 46,500 flights, edging out Austrian Airlines and Spanish Iberia which scored 86.3% and 85.42% respectively. LOT attributed this success to their competitive network of direct connections and transfer possibilities, as well as the effective functioning of their operational team. LOT’s first place is also credited to the significant contributions of its 1,000-strong workforce involved in daily air operations, including crews, operational control centre, airport shift managers, maintenance control centre, and ground service employees. In June, LOT again topped the table for timely departures, further solidifying their strong position in Europe. As per Cirium’s parameters, a punctual flight leaves the gate within a quarter of an hour of its scheduled time. This recognition comes as a testament to LOT’s commitment to maintaining high standards of punctuality and operational effectiveness, aspects integral to providing quality service.
