Poland and the European Space Agency (ESA) are actively considering the opportunity to send Sławosz Uznański into space. Exciting news surfaced when the GovTech Center, a division under the Prime Minister’s Office, announced on Twitter that Sławosz Uznański will soon become the second Polish individual to journey beyond Earth’s atmosphere, resulting in an outpouring of enthusiasm and congratulations. Among a pool of over 22,000 candidates from all over Europe, Dr. Sławosz Uznański, who now belongs to the ESA Astronaut Reserve, emerged as the chosen candidate following a highly competitive selection process. As part of the evaluation, candidates were rigorously assessed in areas such as space knowledge, problem-solving skills, and medical suitability. Dr. Uznański, expressing immense pride, emphasized the significant impact of this achievement on Polish scientific endeavors and space exploration. With academic degrees from the Lodz University of Technology, the University of Nantes, and a Ph.D. from Aix-Marseille University, Dr. Uznański has established himself as an accomplished author and researcher, contributing to the scientific community through a book publication and numerous scholarly articles.
