In 2023, Poland’s Świnoujście LNG terminal set a new record by distributing over 4,000 cisterns of natural gas. This surpasses its previous outputs since its 2016 debut. In comparison, the terminal provided 1,600 cisterns in 2020, 3,300 in 2021, and 3,100 in 2022. As of July 2023, 4,200 cisterns had already been dispatched. Anna Łukaszewska-Trzeciakowska shared this milestone on the X social media, former Twitter, highlighting the country’s strengthened energy resilience. The Lech Kaczyński terminal in Świnoujście can convert up to 6.2 billion normal cubic metres of LNG into gas each year, exemplifying Poland’s efforts to diversify its energy supply and lessen its dependence on Russian gas.
