Croatia has seen a rise in salaries, with the monthly net average reaching EUR 1,133 in May, marking an 11% nominal and 2.9% real increase, according to the State Statistics Office. Compared to April, this salary shows a 1% nominal and 0.5% real rise. The air transport sector led with an average net wage of EUR 1,962, while clothing manufacturing stood at the lower end with EUR 747. The median net wage was EUR 970. Average gross pay for May was EUR 1,562, registering a 12.7% nominal and 4.4% real increase year-on-year. Paid hours in May averaged 183, a 15.1% rise from April. However, the net hourly wage in May dropped by 11.2% from April to EUR 6.09, despite a 6.7% year-on-year increase. January to May saw an average net wage of EUR 1,117, indicating a 11.7% nominal and 1.2% real increase from the same period the previous year.
