In a monumental push for renewable energy in Estonia, Sunly and Metsagrupp are joining forces to develop the 45 MW Raba solar farm in Pärnu County. Once operational, this solar powerhouse is expected to meet the yearly electricity consumption of about 14,000 average households.
The financial muscle behind this green initiative is Swedbank, committing a hefty €17.8 million to the project. Launched in May, the solar farm’s completion is targeted for 2024. Expert firms, Smartecon and Connecto, are at the helm of the project’s development. The former will focus on construction, grid integration, and network testing, while the latter manages medium and high voltage tasks.
Legal advisement for the project’s construction contracts was provided by the law firm, Nove. With robust support from Sunly, Metsagrupp, and Swedbank, the Raba solar park exemplifies Estonia’s dedication to a sustainable future.
